Sustainably grown on one of our Integrated multi-trophic aquaculture sites. These scallops are suspended in the pristine waters of Nova Scotia, where they have access to all the nutrients they need to grow into the cleanest, most desirable scallop on the market today.

We have oysters to satisfy every pallet, whether you enjoy butter cream flavor of our eastern shore oysters or the salty brine flavor of our prince Edwards Island oyster. Our farm grown mussels will surprise even the mussel connoisseur. The combination of our nutrient rich ocean , and our sustainable methods allow us to produce a tasty delicacy. Our Atlantic sea cucumbers are grown in sustainable polyculture systems in the nutrient rich coastal waters of Nova Scotia. Due to high demand many wild populations have faced exploitation and our products provide a more sustainable alternative. Our farmed product is unique in Nova Scotia where most sea cucumbers are wild caught. Sea cucumbers are high in protein and antioxidants making them a popular food and supplement.
Sugar kelp may very well be the most important product we produce here at CBSea. Our sugar kelp is one of the most sustainable products that can be cultured in the Ocean. It is a fast-growing sea plant that is widely used around the globe as a nutritious food, sweetener, and gelling agent. This sea plant is high in fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, iron, calcium, iodine, and magnesium. Nova Scotia is a prime location for sugar kelp cultivation where it is grown in sustainable polyculture systems.
Irish moss is a famous traditional product in Nova Scotia where it is used as healthy food and nutrient rich fertilizer. Local farmers and harvesters work together to sustainably grow this seaweed on land and in the coastal waters around the province. Irish moss is a sustainable alternative to fish for sources of omega-3 fatty acids, a supplement that often comes from exploited wild fish populations.
Our crystal clear coastal waters create the perfect habitat for Atlantic Lobster here in Nova Scotia. Lobster is our main export, but not every lobster is the same. We have built relationships with fishermen all over the maritime provinces so that we can assure quality products twelve months per year. Known for its moist, buttery texture the Atlantic Seabass has become more and more desirable over the past decade. Possibly because of how well the species does in aquaculture environments or simply becasue of its availabililty. Farm grown Seabass is becoming a must have on menus accross the world.
Once a staple in the diet of the Acadian people. Redfish has both texture and taste that makes it uncomparable to any other fish you have ever tasted. The mildly sweet taste accompanied by a slightly firm texture makes it a favourite for many chefs around the world.
